Well, it seems the last two and 1/2 days in Vegas with the brutally hot temps have done us in. I slept until 10 AM. A new record for me. Ron was up earlier but hung around until mid-afternoon, then showered and dressed.
We talked with Kelly and she is doing better, although in pain from her left shoulder repair done on the 20th. She had bone spurs removed and tendon reattached. OUCH! Megan had her tonsils out on the 28th so both are uncomfortable to say the least. OUCH again! We call them the WWW , the Walking Wounded Women. Megan’s not talking but can still text. She told me to put on my big girl pants and ride that roller coaster at the new York New York. LOL
We talked about going out and doing a variety of things but couldn’t face another 112 degree day. Ron did take Jewel for two short walks and added coolant to the MH.
Last night we had a really bad wind storm. It surprised us and came out of nowhere. Another MH lost its awning in the wind. The sad part is that the awning looked brand new.
We had planned on taking in the Do Wopp Show at Sam’s Town Casino but when Ron went to buy tickets they were sold out. I wanted to pick up tickets three days ago but Ron didn’t think it was necessary. So – no show for us tonight.
Hanging around all day wasn’t a bad thing. I was able to catch-up on the blog. Relaxing is definitely under-rated.
Ron has been planning our exit for tomorrow. We’re thinking of going to the Valley of Fire Campground. We had been there 5 years ago and fell in love with the place. We talked about camping there and now’s our chance even if it is still desert temps.
Tonight we took a short drive around the area. No pretty grass or green trees like at home.
We stopped in at Sam’s Town Casino and had the buffet again. Hmmm, strange since we really don’t like buffets. I will say the food is great and the prime rib super.
We met a nice family from San Diego and spent some time talking with them. The wife and son will be in Boston in October on a New England cruise. We gave them our number so maybe we will be able to catch up with them during their stay in Boston. (Yes, Kelly we do make friends with people in lines and exchange information. LOL)
Back at the MH we planned for our exit and hit the sack early. A good, although quiet day for us.
