We were both tired from our first day on the Strip so we hung around in the morning and headed back out around 3 PM. It was still very hot at 111 degrees.
We parked at the Mirage and took in the Siegfried and Roy Secret Gardens and Dolphin Habitant. S&R lions and tigers are kept in the habitant as well as several bottlenose dolphins and a new baby dolphin.
After checking out the lions and tigers but no bears we went to see the three week old baby dolphin.
The baby stays with the Mother until she decides it can go off on its own. Her other daughter is helping to bring up the baby and can even nurse spontaneously if needed.
After leaving the Mirage we walked to a few of the other casinos on the strip.

Caesars Palace is our favorite. t is spectacular in every way and by far the most elegant.
As we continued to walk our feet were burning and legs getting tired. Eight hours of walking was getting to us after a 12 hour day on Thursday.
It was a long day and our feet really hurt but we still had a long way to get back to the car. We stopped along the way at Caesars , sat and people watched.
When we finally got back to the car we were greeted with an all time high temp. No wonder we were so exhausted.
We had one more stop before going back to the MH – groceries at Wal Mart. Big mistake walking around that huge store. By the time we got back to the MH our plans to go dancing were destroyed. We could barely walk – so dancing was definitely out of the question. Instead we stayed home, had some ice tea and went to bed.
