This will seem weird but so far the only day it is warm and sunny here is on Tuesdays. Every other day it is overcast until around 8PM then the sun shines for about one hour before it sets but you can be guaranteed a bright sunny day on Tuesdays.
Megan came to the CG to visit for the afternoon. On her way over here she got lost but after a call to us and plugging in the address on her phone GPS she found us. We had a great lunch and wonderful visit with her.
Jewel loves Megan and couldn’t wait to get on her lap for some cuddle time.
Ron and Megan love Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and it was a race to see who could eat the most
Unfortunately Megan had to leave for work but we had a really nice time with her. She is leaving on Thursday with her Dad for a trip to Vegas and is very excited about that.
At the end of the month her parents will be attending a college orientation weekend with her and in July she will be having her tonsils removed. OWEEEE!!!!!
Later that evening Patrick picked us up and we went to Chicago Willey’s for a killer burger. Both Kelly and Patrick told us they had the best burgers ever and they were right!
On Wednesday we went to the Wal Mart to restock the MH for our next leg of our journey. Ron was proud of me because I actually checked ALL the cabinets and made a list of what we needed. Usually I go to the grocery store with a list in my head and end up with three of one thing and none of another. LOL This was one of the few times Ron forgot his camera and the first time we could have added pictures to the people from Wal Mart album.
Cleaning has always been an obsession of mine so I threw myself into cleaning the MH. It didn’t take too long since it is under 400 square feet but I still didn’t get to the outside windows.
Another obsession of mine is laundry so it was off to Kelly & Patrick’s to do laundry in their huge front-loaders. It’s nice to do one big load instead of three little loads in my MH washer/dryer combo.
Patrick, Ron and I went out to dinner again (no cooking going on here). We had breakfast for dinner and luck would have it they were offering a free piece of pie after the meal. We all had delicious chocolate cream pie – not a great breakfast dessert combo. Then it was off to the airport to pick up Kelly. She had a good business trip and won a gift certificate playing Bache Ball. Way to go Kelly!!!! She bought herself a nice sweatshirt and it wasn’t even black. LOL
Jewel was happy to see her and made herself quite comfortable in her lap. Jewel has really attached herself to both Kelly and Patrick and will be very depressed when we leave.
Patrick has been doing battle with Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers killing his trees in the backyard. At the CG Red-headed Woodpeckers are killing the trees here. The birds are beautiful but the damage to the trees is ugly.
Thursday will be out last day here so we will finish our preparations. More organizing, cleaning and spending the evening with Kelly and Patrick.
