Captain’s Blog June 10, 2011 (Day 35) Graduation Preparation/RV repair at Poulsbo RV, Auburn, WA

Today was a busy day for the both of us as well as for Kelly, Patrick and Megan. We had to drop the RV off for an oil change and to have them give us an estimate on the cost to repair the dash AC that died on us in Kansas. The estimated cost for the repair was over $1200.00. Yikes, they get $120.00 per hour. After some  discussion and debate we decided to go ahead with the repair since we will be traveling through some  very hot territories.

Megan, Kelly and I and Megan’s friend Misty went to have our brows done. Usually I wax but Megan has been having hers “stringed” so I tried it. Loved it and will be looking for someone at home to do the same.

Megan had to work so Kelly and I picked up the decorations for the party and finished the grocery shopping. She is having the main meal catered so no cooking happening for either of us.

Kelly picked out graduation balloons and of course as I was getting them out of the car one got away and floated to the heavens. Good job Deb- NOT!

Ron and I went to pick up the MH later in the evening and we were pleased that the actual cost for AC repairs and oil change was less then estimated – only $1097.00 and that was because we bought our own synthetic oil. They were charging $17.00 per quart but Ron picked it up for $7.00 per quart and they were OK with that.

We got excellent service and got our MH back in record time. Of course we had to set up again at the CG and then headed out again to Kelly’s for dinner.

Tomorrow is graduation day for Megan. It is being held at the Tacoma Dome with a large crowd expected to attend.
